Walk Away From The Man Who’s Wasting Your Time

your time is precious

I’m not a fan of casual dating.

I’ve tried it, and it’s just not my thing. I’ve always wanted something serious, and I like to know where I stand with a guy and where things are going. When I talk with a man, I want consistency and excellent communication. When the conversations go on for months, I ask and communicate what we’re doing and where things are going. The answers to my questions are often ambiguous, and my messages go ignored, or I end up ghosted.

Indecision is a decision. If a guy doesn’t see a future with you, or waits several months before deciding whether or not he wants a serious commitment with you, it’s a waste of your time to continue seeing him. You need to cut him loose.

I’ve talked with women who’ve continued to see and date guys who strung them along for months. They waited because they were sure that a proposal was coming (that either didn’t arrive or took a very long time to come). Then they got frustrated with how long it took for things to progress.

When I meet a guy, and things are going well, I don’t expect that he will propose to me after a week of dating.

However, I refuse to be anyone’s “let’s just see where things go…” girl.

I don’t have time for that. I’m in my thirties now and I don’t play games.

While I don’t judge the women who wait around for a proposal; when it comes to dating, my time is precious and incredibly valuable—and so is yours. Your time doesn’t deserve to be wasted by someone who’s not committing to you. I know that it might be difficult to cut ties with the person you’re seeing or currently living with. Still, if things aren’t going anywhere and you don’t have a clear direction about where you stand—it’s time to say goodbye.

Let that guy go, and don’t let him waste any more of your time.

Don’t let him live off you.

Don’t let him take advantage of you.

Don’t let him use you.

Don’t let him take you for granted.

Just say no to him, and start saying yes to you.

Say yes to asking about where you stand.

Walk away if things seem uncertain.

Say yes to getting what you want and what you deserve.

Choose to hold out for someone—and something better.

Because you, dear sister, deserve so much more.

I hope you meet someone who respects and recognizes you for all that you are.
